Affiliated Dentists Sponsored and Participated In the Walk for Thought!
As you know, Affiliated Dentists is proud to be an active part of the community. Recently, we participated in and sponsored the Brain Injury Alliance of Wisconsin (BIAW) “Walk for Thought.” This is the first year that the walk was held in Madison, WI, and we are very proud to have been a part of it.
What Is the Walk for Thought?
Dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by brain injury, The Brain Injury Alliance of Wisconsin is a state-wide non-profit organization that provides needed information and resources to patients and their families. The annual Walk for Thought is one of BIAW’s biggest fund raisers each year.
How Was Affiliated Dentists Involved With the Walk for Thought?
In addition to sponsoring the Walk for Thought, Affiliated Dentists’ own Dr. Brian Porter organized and lead a team of walkers at the event. We are very proud, and would like to thank everyone that donated, supported, or participated in the Walk for Thought.
Where Was It Held?
The Walk for Thought was held on Saturday, September 10th at the Capital Square. The walk began at 11:00 am.
You Can Still Help!
Even though the Walk for Thought is over, there are still ways you can help the Brain Injury Alliance of Wisconsin! On their site you can donate funds, which will help BIAW supply educational information, provide prevention initiatives, and advocate for all of those in need in Wisconsin. You can also check with your employer, as many companies offer programs in which they double or even sometimes triple charitable contributions made by employees. Another way is to select BIAW as the charity you want to donate some of your purchases to on Amazon.com. When shopping on Amazon, simply start at http://smile.amazon.com/ and choose Brain Injury Association of Wisconsin as your charity of choice. Each time you shop, use AmazonSmile and Amazon will donate 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases!
Thank You for Your Help
