Today we honor our own Dr. John Busby, U.S. Army Veteran of 24 years and Dr. Brian Porter, U.S. Navy Veteran of 5 years. Thank you for your service.
Dr. John Busby – Owner/Business Manager
Dr. Busby began his career in dentistry more than three decades ago and is a 1978 graduate of Marquette University School of Dentistry. After graduating, he completed a Family Practice Residency in the U.S. Army. As an Army officer, Dr. Busby served in served in numerous locations, including Nuremburg Germany. Following five years of active duty service, Dr. Busby returned to Madison and joined the group that became Affiliated Dentists. In 2006, Dr. Busby earned a M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern. Today he serves as the Managing Partner of Affiliated Dentists.
Since 1983, he has been providing dental health care to Madison area families. His emphasis is providing cosmetic services and restoring people’s smile.
Dr. Busby is married to Terry Busby and they have 3 adult daughters: Katherine, Laura and Jenifer.
In his spare time Dr. Busby volunteers as the head of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville Capital Campaign and various Veterans groups. On weekends Dr. Busby is often found in Door County, Wisconsin either golfing or kayaking. In spite of years of lessons his golf game continues to struggle.
Dr. Brian Porter – West Clinic
Dr. Brian Porter D.D.S. graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences from Marquette University and went on to graduate from Marquette School of Dentistry.
Dr. Porter then joined the US Navy to complete a one year residency at National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, MD. Later he was assigned to a Naval warship as Director of Dental Services. He also served as a General Dentist at Naval Station Great Lakes, Chicago.
Today Dr. Porter specializes in Cosmetic Dentistry. Dr. Porter joins Dr. Laura Peles as Affiliated Dentist’s first brother and sister team!
