Five Flavored Water Recipes for the Workweek

Good for you for swapping out soda for flavored water at mealtimes! Your teeth with thank you for finding a sugar-free beverage. While not recommended to be sipped throughout the day due to the acid from the fruit, flavored water is a healthier choice for mealtimes than soda or other sweetened beverages. To help add interest to your beverages, here’s a collection of five flavored water recipes for the workweek so that you can enjoy a different flavor each day or come up with your own creations!

  • Strawberry Cucumber Flavored Water
  • Mango Pineapple Flavored Water
  • Blueberry and Lemon Flavored Water
  • Cinnamon Apple and Lemon Flavored Water
  • Raspberry and Lime Flavored Water

Strawberry Cucumber Flavored Water

Wash, stem, and thinly slice eight ounces of strawberries. Place in a large pitcher with two quarts of water. Add one half of a thinly sliced English cucumber. Muddle the strawberry and cucumber, then let the flavors infuse for two-to-four hours in the refrigerator. Strain before drinking.

Mango Pineapple Flavored Water

Peel one fresh mango. Slice into thin sections and place in a large pitcher. Add a cup of finely chopped pineapple. Fill the pitcher with eight cups of water. Using a large wooden spoon, mash the fruit to release the flavors. Place in the refrigerator. Allow the fruit to infuse the water for four-to-six hours. Strain before serving.

Blueberry Lemon Flavored Water

Capture the flavors of a blueberry muffin by combining half a cup of blueberries, two thinly sliced lemons, and eight cups of water in a pitcher. Muddle the fruit and refrigerate for four-to-six hours. Strain before drinking.

Cinnamon Apple and Lemon Flavored Water

Wash and thinly slice two apples. Place in a pitcher. Slice a lemon in half. Squeeze the juice from the lemon into the pitcher, then place the lemon halves in, as well. Add four cinnamon sticks and fill with eight cups of water. Place in the refrigerator and let sit anywhere from two hours to overnight. Strain before drinking.

Raspberry and Lime Flavored Water

Place six ounces of washed raspberries and one thinly sliced lime in a pitcher. Muddle the fruit with a wooden spoon, then add two quarts of water. Let rest for four-to-six hours before straining and serving.
